Ken H. Allman, II created The Compass Framework after more than 25 years of hands-on operating experience building companies including PracticeLink, MountainPlex, and StringTheory.ai. An Executive MBA graduate of Washington University's Olin Business School and recipient of the Alec Award from Proudfoot Consulting, Ken synthesized six established business methodologies into one navigable integration system for strategic clarity and operational excellence.
Why I Created the Compass Framework
"I'm not a business theorist — I'm a builder. For 25+ years, I've been in the operating seat, making payroll, navigating growth, building teams.
Along the way, I studied the best thinkers I could find. Christensen showed me how to understand what customers actually need. Sinek taught me the power of purpose. Lencioni gave me a framework for healthy teams. The Shingo principles showed me how to build systems that improve. Miller helped me communicate clearly. Proudfoot trained me to execute relentlessly.
And I found they fit together like pieces of a puzzle — each one completing the others.
The Compass Framework is my attempt to integrate these proven ideas into one system. I didn't invent the components — I just needed a way to hold them together.
